Charlotte is a second year DPhil student pursuing a Collaborative Doctoral Award at the University of Oxford in partnership with the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET). Her thesis, co-supervised by Pr. Abigail Green and Dr. Jenny Carson, looks at unaccompanied Jewish child migrants in British and French Jewish humanitarianism from 1903 to 1948. It is co-funded by the Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC DTP and the Clarendon Scholarship.
Prior to studying at the University of Oxford, Charlotte graduated with an MA in History from Sciences Po Paris (2022) and with a double BA in political humanities and history from Sciences Po Paris and La Sorbonne (2020). Her MA thesis focused on the rescue of Jewish children in France during the Holocaust at the Sèvres children’s home.
During her undergraduate studies, she spent a year at the University of Washington, where she was a research assistant at the Stroum Center for Jewish Studies. She has also interned at a Holocaust survivors association in France and in French elementary schools.
